摘要 隨著性別平權意識的全球普及，女性地位提升，權益獲得更多保障。東南亞女性參與社會事務的諸多限制雖逐漸削弱，卻依然存在。作為少數族裔成長於多元文化社會的馬來西亞華人女性，一方面受現代教育薰陶，卻也承繼了賢妻良母的期許。家庭負擔及社會壓力，似乎壓縮了華人女性在公共領域一展長才的空間，在馬來西亞，華人女性的社會參與及對國家發展的可觀貢獻，亦未引起太多關注。有鑒於華人女性社會參與的研究並不多見，缺乏較為深入的個案分析。本研究結合訪談及文獻資料，以楊潔及傅向紅兩位留臺人為研究對象，分析成長背景及跨國移動經驗，如何使她們在馬來西亞民主轉型的過程中成為進步價值的媒介，積極參與社會變革的行動？從而探討當代馬來西亞華人女性社會參與的特色及影響因素。 With the diffusion of gender equality awareness, women's status and rights have been elevated and more protected. Although many restrictions on Southeast Asia women's participation in social affairs have gradually removed, they still exist. As a minority ethnic, Malaysian Chinese woman who grew up in a multicultural society, on the one hand, she was educated by modern education, but also inherited the expectations of a good wife and mother. Family burden and social pressure seem to reduce the space for Chinese women to develop their talents. In Malaysia, the social participation of Chinese women and their contribution to national development have not attracted much attention. Because related research is rare and lacks in-depth case analysis, this study has combined interviews and literature; this paper takes two Taiwan Alumni-Penny Yong Kiat and Por Hong Heong. A case study analyzes the growth background and cross-border experience and makes them catalyst of progressive value to promote social change during Malaysia's democratic transitional period. Moreover, to explore the factors that influence the social participation of contemporary Malaysian Chinese women.
