| 摘要 | The temporal variation of electron energy during a magnetotail dipolarization as well as the associated acceleration/deceleration mechanism are investigated according to observations from the THEMIS mission. The differential energy fluxes for energy ranging from 0.1 keV to 10 keV are found to be the primary part to show the distinct change. The energy value corresponding to the peak flux (~ 2 keV) can increase by a few keV within seconds and then exhibit a mixture of up and down as time extends. We calculated both the parallel and perpendicular velocity changes that resulted from curvature and gradient drifts coupled to the electric field, based on the observed magnetic fields and electric fields. By incorporating the electron bounce times at the energy range mentioned above based on the TS05 field model, the temporal evolvement of the energy change is derived. The modeled results compared with the observed temporal variations of electron energy will be discussed. |
