摘要 With increasing pressure to achieve net-zero emissions, firms must balance economic performance and environmental sustainability under carbon regulations. In competitive markets, demand is jointly influenced by price and inventory availability, leading to strong interdependence between pricing and inventory decisions. However, existing studies rarely integrate both price- and stock-dependent demand within carbon-aware inventory models. This study develops a carbon-aware pricing–inventory framework that jointly determines optimal selling price, order quantity, and ending inventory level under carbon tax regulation. Carbon emissions are explicitly modeled across ordering, transportation, holding, and shortage-related activities, and are incorporated into the objective function to capture trade-offs between profit and environmental impact. Numerical results show that demand-related parameters have the most significant effect on profitability, while carbon-related costs influence decisions primarily by increasing prices and reducing inventory levels. Moreover, when demand is highly sensitive to inventory availability, maintaining moderate inventory levels with appropriate pricing can better balance economic and environmental objectives. The findings provide managerial insights into how firms can adjust pricing and inventory strategies under carbon regulation, contributing to sustainable supply chain decision-making.
