In Taiwan, male citizens aged 18 and above are required to complete compulsory military service. Prior to enlistment, many conscripts experience anxiety and uncertainty due to insufficient understanding of military regulations, daily routines, and physical training requirements. To address this need, this study designed a generative AI-powered mobile application as a support tool for pre-enlistment knowledge learning and self-directed military physical training practice, with the goals of supporting readiness, improving information understanding, and strengthening training quality before military service. The proposed system consists of two core modules. The first is a generative AI knowledge support module that integrates official regulations, information on military life and routines, and experience-based materials from different types of conscripts to provide more contextualized and personalized responses, thereby helping users understand important pre-enlistment information. The second is a pose estimation-based training feedback module that provides movement recognition and real-time feedback for common military physical training tasks, enabling users to practice independently, correct their movements, and improve physical readiness before enlistment. To preliminarily validate the feasibility of the proposed system architecture and application design, this study invited cross-disciplinary experts to evaluate the system using structured criteria covering system design, content appropriateness, functional planning, and technical feasibility. The results showed that the system was positively evaluated in terms of content integration, technical applicability, and contextual suitability, while also generating suggestions for interface refinement and functional improvement. This study contributes an initial mobile application design framework that integrates generative AI-based knowledge support and pose estimation-based training feedback for conscripts’ pre-enlistment preparation. The findings provide a preliminary foundation for applying AI to military education and training support. Future studies may further examine the application effectiveness of the proposed system in pre-enlistment
preparation, information understanding, training performance, and anxiety relief through user-based research. |
