| 摘要 | Magneto-plasmonic studies utilizing multilayers containing magnetic and plasmonic layers of materials were synthesized using the DC magnetron sputtering technique. The A1 phase FePt and the Ag layers were used as magnetic and plasmonic layers, respectively. The investigation primarily focused on exploring the optical and magnetic properties of the prepared system. These properties were then harnessed for analyte detection using Raman spectroscopy. Initially, the Ag (A) and FePt (F) systems were grown separately to analyze their individual characteristics. Subsequently, the bilayer system composed of Ag-FePt (AF) and FePt-Ag (FA) was examined, which demonstrated noteworthy optical properties which were observed using UV-Visible spectroscopy. Additionally, the bilayer system Ag-FePt (AF) and FePt-Ag (FA) and the multilayer systems Ag-FePt-Ag (AFA) and FePt-Ag-FePt (FAF) were investigated, revealing both magnetic and optical properties within these structures, using room temperature vibrating sample magnetometer and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The structure and morphology of these single, bilayer, and multilayer systems were also investigated using synchrotron X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field-emission scanning electron microscopy. The XRD showed the formation of FCC phase of Ag and A1 ordering of the FCC FePt. The morphology of the annealed multilayer system shows the cluster formation of Ag at the top surface, with grain-like morphology surrounding the clusters. Further these prepared thin films were used as Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy (SERS) substrates for the detection of Rhodamine B (RhB). RhB is known to be a major water pollutant. It is used in textile industries and is found to produce neurotoxic and carcinogenic end results which raises threats to humans and aquatic species. Hence, the detection of RhB is a major concern. A drop of RhB analyte of 10−6 M was drop casted on these SERS substrates using a micro-pipette for the detection of RhB. Notably, the bilayer system (FA) exhibited exceptional enhancement capabilities for SERS detection of RhB. |
