Developing uniform and pinhole-free WO3 thin films remains a significant challenge for smart window applications. In this study, WO3 thin films were fabricated using pulsed laser deposition (PLD) with varying laser pulses: 2000, 4000, and 6000 at a repetition rate of 10 Hz, designated as W_2, W_4, and W_6, respectively. Grazing Incidence X-ray Diffraction and Raman spectroscopy confirm monoclinic phase and characteristic vibrational modes of WO3. The modulation of transmittance is enhanced by 49.8 % in W_2 compared with W_6 thin film. Furthermore, the coloration efficiency of the W_2 thin film is 2.3 % higher than that of the W_6 thin film. Notably, W_2 shows outstanding stability, maintaining performance up to 1000 cycles. These results suggest that the WO3 thin film produced with laser pulses of 2000 (W_2) is a potential and promising candidate for smart window applications. |
