Purpose: This study discusses the goalkeepers' jersey color in the 2020 Taiwan Football Premier League (TFPL) and their goal against (GA). Meanwhile, the goalkeepers' jersey color in the 2018 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup and their GA are also collected for inspection/comparison. Methods: This study used video observational method through the computer, internet, and video recording by slow motion play. For cross-comparison with official data of FIFA World Cup and TFPL, this study analyzed 82 matches of 2020 TFPL and 64 matches of 2018 FIFA World Cup. The chi-squared test and descriptive statistics were used to analyze and describe the percentage and frequency of the results. Results: (1) The analysis of goalkeepers' GA for different competition system: compared with the average GA per game and average time per GA, the goalkeepers' GA in 2018 FIFA World Cup (2.59 balls/69.40 min) was less than 2020 TFPL (3.20 balls/56.34 min). (2) The analysis of goalkeepers' GA in any period: for these two competitions, GA in the 2nd half was higher than 1st half. (3) The analysis of goalkeepers' GA in injury time: the highest GA in 2020 TFPL was 7 balls (27%) in 90 + 2 min. The highest GA in 2018 FIFA World Cup was 7 balls (30%) in 90 + 3 min. (4) The analysis GA of the goalkeepers' jersey color and their GA: from the data of the jersey color and GA in 2020 TFPL and 2018 FIFA World Cup, white jersey took 3rd (42.00 min) and 2nd (51.43 min) that the average time per GA was lower. Compared with other jersey color, the white jersey had higher GA. Conclusion: There are many factors to affect the the goalkeepers' GA. The suggestion is to wear jerseys in different color for special training. Moreover, having more concentration in any period and injury time.
