摘要 The device performance improvement of the gas absorption in hollow-fiber gas-liquid membrane contactors [1,2] was investigated theoretically and experimentally. A two-dimensional mathematical formulation was developed in a hollow-fiber membrane gas absorption module with gas and liquid flow rates regulated independently. The chemical absorption of carbon dioxide by amine was carried out and illustrated to validate the theoretical predictions. The resultant partial differential equations, referred to as conjugated Graetz problems [3,4], were solved analytically using the separated variable method associating with an orthogonal expansion technique [5,6]. The absorption efficiency was examined with the absorbent flow rate, gas feed flow rate and CO2 concentration in the gas feed as parameters. The theoretical predictions show that the effect of the inlet carbon dioxide concentration in the gas feed plays an important role on the absorption efficiency. The influences of operating and design parameters on the absorption efficiency and total absorption rate are also delineated.
