摘要 We present a new routing protocol in this paper to enhance junction-based routing for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) vehicular ad-hoc networks (VANETs). Employing effective routing table learning and maintenance, the new protocol is able to accomplish better transmission stability and lower transmission cost. In practice, the mechanism of routing table learning will help a vehicle establish its own static path information by which to locate suitable relay vehicles in a more efficient way, and the practice of routing table maintenance may substantially reduce the probability of finding no suitable relay vehicles, to avoid unnecessary packet discarding. Extended simulation is conducted to evaluate the performance of our new protocol and related routing protocols. The results exhibit that our protocol performs constantly better than others in terms of packet delivery ratios, packet drop ratios and average delay time. It ensures more efficient transmission without additional control overhead in highly mobile V2V VANETs.
