| 摘要 | An essay is presented on the theme of change in socio-cultural patterns resulting from urbanization in the films of Tsai Ming-Liang. She mentions that Tsai's films portrayed sexual discourse as its crucial theme which underscores the message to reflect a society characterized by urban alienation. She relates that homosexuality was coded primarily in the films as a resistance to patriarchal constructions of sexual relations. |
