摘要本文旨在探討研究所教育擴張後,研究所教育報酬的組成與薪資不均的來源。本文設立大學畢業生與研究生兩種勞動市場,其中供給面是透過高等教育投資決策所形成,需求面則是考量研究所勞動的外部性下廠商的最適決策。根據此研究架構,利用台灣「人力運用調查」資料進行實證分析。實證研究發現,研究所教育擴張對於兩類勞動之報酬均有顯著的正向效果。其次,高等教育勞動者的薪資不均主要是兩類勞動的組內不均所致;其中世代效果是各組薪資分配不均的主要來源,惟年輕的研究所世代之不均效果已減低。是以,基於分配均等的觀點,研究所教育擴張於社會整體是有利的。;The paper is to analyze the distributive effect of the expansion of graduate education. We propose a theoretical model of two-type labor markets, in which the supplies are determined by the decisions of higher educational investment, and the demands include the consideration of spillovers. The paper uses data from Taiwan to estimate the returns to both college and graduate educations, furthermore to decompose wage inequalities. We find that the expansion of graduate education raises the social returns to education for both types of labors. In addition, the overall inequality of wages of higher educational labors is mainly from within-group inequalities of college and graduate educated, respectively. Within each group, the cohort effect on wage inequality is significant. However, its inequality impact decreases for the younger cohorts of educated graduates. This implies that the expansion of graduate education is socially beneficial from the perspective of distribution.
