摘要 | The effects of recycling of fluid at both ends of a turbulent rectangular internal loop reactor on the heat transfer have been investigated numerically. Theoretical results show that the transfer rate can be augmented when compared with a classical duct without recycling. The compensation between residence-time and premising and turbulent diffusivity effects may be used to explain fluid behaviors. The effects of the thermal resistance of the inserted impermeable plate on the transfer rate for Pr = 0.7 are small, but profound as the value of Prandtl number increases to ten. |
