摘要This paper presents a modified sliding mode control (SMC) method using acceleration feedback to suppress the response of seismic-excited civil structures. The capability of modulating the control effort was provided by introducing a pre-filter to the control command. To demonstrate the practical applicability to actual implementation, experimental shake table tests are conducted for a full- scale three-story building equipped with active bracing systems at the National Center for Research on Earthquake Engineering(NCREE), Taiwan. A nominal system incorporating the control-structure interaction effect is used for the SMC controller design. Uncertainty is also considered in the nominal system and robustness is scrutinized through experiments. Experimental results indicate that the SMC strategy using acceleration feedback for the full-scale building is robust and its performance is quite remarkable. Furthermore, the numerical simulation using an analytical model [Wu et al (2000 )] is conducted and the correlation versus the experimental results is remarkable. This full-scale experiment successfully verifies the practical applicability of the modified SMC strategy toward actual implementation on civil structures.
