| 摘要 | Background Silicon monoxide (SiOx, 0 < x < 2) faces limitations in commercial applications due to its poor electrical conductivity and significant volume expansion during operation. Methods In this study, SiOx-based composites (C-SiOx) integrated with graphite (GF), soft carbon (SC), and asphalt (AP) were prepared using a spray-drying method followed by high-temperature carbonization. Moreover, the C-SiOx electrode was further modified with a thin Al2O3 layer via atomic layer deposition (ALD). To practically assess the potential application of the as-prepared C-SiOx composite, soft-packed lithium-ion batteries (LIBs) incorporating C-SiOx as the anode and LiNi0.5Mn1.5O4 (LNMO) as the cathode, were fabricated. Significant findings The blended GF and SC within the C-SiOx microspheres significantly enhance electrical conductivity and act as buffers to mitigate volume changes during the charge/discharge process. Additionally, the AP forms a thin, amorphous carbon coating on the SiOx surface during the thermal annealing process, improving ionic transport. The ALD-coated Al2O3 effectively isolates the electrode from direct contact with the electrolyte, thereby suppressing undesired side reactions. As a result, the full LIB utilizing the Al2O3-modified C-SiOx anode exhibits milder gassing behavior, a lower expansion rate, and improved cyclability. |
