| 摘要 | The article focuses on a study, conducted by researcher Yachien Huang, related to gender inequality in media coverage particularly in tabloid newspapers and political participation of women in Taiwan. Topics include transformation of gendered representation into a complicated form, more coverage to congressmen as compared to congresswomen, tendency of tabloid newspaper coverage to report on women's relationship and marital status, and portrayal of male politicians in a more forgiving manner. |
