| 摘要 | This paper explores how Urban Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) supports thethree pillars of sustainable development: environment, economics andsocial equity. The paper first presents a brief introduction to urbanproblems and the concept of sustainable transportation. The role ofMRT in a modern city is then presented. And MRT's potentialcontributions to sustainable transportation are described. Themultiple criteria analysis for the overall sustainability contributedby MRT is also briefly introduced. |
