The stress-strain relationships for both soil and nail are idealized as perfectly plasticity. The nail is considered to provide only axial force or subjected to both tensile and shear factor. The cross section of a metal inclusion inserted inside a predrilled hole was used to calculate the axial, shear forces and bending moment resistances. The entire grouted nail dimension was counted in estimating the earth bearing resistance.
